DESCRIPTION:Please save the date for the Annual Congress of the Swiss Socie
 ty of Microbiology\, which will take place from 26–28 August 2026 at t
 he 2m2c Music and Convention Centre\, on the shores of Lake Geneva in Mo
 ntreux\, Switzerland.\n\n\n\n\nThe congress will bring together experts fr
 om across the full spectrum of microbiology\, including clinical microbio
 logy\, virology\, mycology\, microbial ecology\, and molecular microbiolog
 y.\n\nThe Scientific Committee\, chaired by Prof. Philipp Engel and Pro
 f. Tom Ian Battin\, aims to create an interdisciplinary and supportive env
 ironment with strong opportunities for presentation\, discussion\, and ne
 tworking\, especially for early-career researchers.\n\nThe scientific prog
 ram will include:\n\n 	5 keynote lectures\n 	15 parallel sessions covering
  current and broad topics in microbiology\n 	2 dedicated poster sessions\n
  	"My Thesis in 180 Seconds"\n 	Lay communication activity\n 	An afternoon
  dedicated to Early Career Researchers\n\n\nFurther details\, including re
