Annual research meetings intended in particular for PhD students and young Post Docs will be organized in order to provide an opportunity for them to present and discuss problems and results.

Technical, practical courses for a limited number of participants, preferentially young scientists and PhD students, are planned continuously on specific topics like bacterial phylogeny, introduction to bioinformatics, expression of recombinant proteins. They will be regularly announced here.

SWIMM (Swiss Molecular Microbiology Meetings)

The SWIMM are part of a series of workshops, which take place in a biannual rhythm. They are aimed specifically at young researchers (PhD students, young post docs) from all over Switzerland working in areas of molecular microbiology. As senior scientist you are welcome to participate as well an "back-up" our young colleagues. Information on the upcoming meeting may be found on the SGM/SSM homepage.

SME (Swiss Microbial Ecology Meetings)

The SME events take place alternatively to SWIMM, i.e. in an biannual rhythm as well.
